Current Exhibits

This important new exhibit will open in March 2021.  It provides a unique snapshot of race relations in Tampa from the year 1912.  In that year, Booker T. Washington gave a speech at the Tampa Bay Casino before an audience of both white and black Americans.  Washington was popular with both groups, who heard very different messages in his speech.

The guest curator for this exhibit is Dr. Charles McGraw Groh of The University of Tampa.
