Experience the Henry Plant Museum with a trained docent or discover and explore on your own.

Guided Tours

A specially trained docent will guide your party on a one-hour tour through the Museum.  
Be sure not to miss a bit of the exciting history inside!
For docent led groups tours of 10 or more, the price is $14 for adults and $12 for seniors.  Please contact us at 813.258.7301 or email dcarpenter@ut.edu to make your reservation.  Guided tours are available January – October.

Field Trips

Docent-led tours are available for schools, youth groups, camps, after school programs, and scouts with a minimum of 10 youth and up to 48 including chaperone and teacher.

The Museum works with the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities at the University of South Florida to provide support and optimize the museum experience for children with autism who may visit with their families or as part of a school group.  Please read our story book to help plan your next visit to the Museum.
 
Please contact us at 813.258.7301 to schedule your visit at least two weeks prior to your visit. Available January – October.  
 

Sunday Tours 

Offered one Sunday each month at 1:00 pm (September & October.  January – May).

Self-Guided Tours

Explore the Museum at your own pace on a Self-Guided Tour. Begin your visit with a brochure and enjoy our complimentary audio tour conveniently downloaded to your personal device or you may request a Museum hand held device.  The 45-minute audio guide offers a deeper understanding of the history of the Tampa Bay Hotel and the Gilded Age lifestyle.  As you proceed through the Museum, please don't miss our 14-minute introductory video The Tampa Bay Hotel: Florida’s First Magic Kingdom
