Experience the Henry Plant Museum with a trained docent or discover and explore on your own.

Adult Tours

Docent-led tours for adult groups of 10 or more people can be scheduled with at least two weeks notice. Group rate is $8 per person. Call Todd Edwards at 813.258.7301 or email tedwards@ut.edu to make your group reservation. Available January – November.

Field Trips

Docent-led tours are available for schools, youth groups, camps, homeschool groups, after school programs, and scouts with a minimum of 10 youth. Call Todd Edwards at 813.258.7301 or email at tedwards@ut.edu to schedule your visit at least two weeks prior to your visit. Available January – November.  Book a Field Trip
 

The Museum worked with the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities at the University of South Florida to provide support and optimize the museum experience for children with autism who may visit with their families or as part of a school group.  Please read our story book to help plan your next visit to the Museum.  

Sunday Tours

Offered one Sunday each month at 1:00 pm (September – November and January – May). No reservations required.  For specific dates, check our events calendar.

Self-Guided Tours

Explore the Museum at your own pace on a Self-Guided Tour. Begin your visit with our 14-minute introductory video The Tampa Bay Hotel: Florida’s First Magic Kingdom. Your tour continues with a brochure, a hand-held audio wand and signs in each room of the Museum. The 45-minute audio guide offers a deeper understanding of the history of the Tampa Bay Hotel and the Gilded Age lifestyle. It is complimentary with your admission.
