Doing the History of Sexuality: A Research Primer
October 15, 2026, 4:00 pm
Charles McGraw Groh, Ph.D.

This session presents attendees with an intellectual challenge, determining how to study a topic that has been both (1) of vital concern to people in the past and (2) typically hidden from public view. How does one study the history of sexuality? Attendees will hone critical thinking by weighing the various theories and methodologies that have been proposed by historians and determining which approaches make the most sense out of fragmentary evidence.
Attendance is free, but participation is limited to members. RSVP to Selena Martinez at smmartinez@ut.edu or (813) 258-7304.
