Antique dumbbells and exercise instructions by pioneer bodybuilder Eugen Sandow have thrilled visitors at the Museum’s special exhibit Dressed for Success: Fashioning Manhood at the Tampa Bay Hotel. A curator conversation explores Sandow and the cult of the male physique in the 1890s. Don’t try this at home, but the presentation includes a demonstration of Sandow’s favorite dumbbell exercises.
