Friday, June 5, 4:30-7:00 pm
From the Gilded Age to the Great Depression, the Tampa Bay Hotel underwent dramatic changes as it evolved from a seasonal luxury resort into a military headquarters and, ultimately, into the center of Tampa’s community life. Rare archival photographs preserve each of these moments in time. Join Curator of Education Selena Martinez for a special tour that uses photographs to tell stories from the Tampa Bay Hotel. The tour also offers a unique opportunity to learn how curators used photographs to restore the Museum’s historic Writing and Reading Room.
The tour will start promptly at 5:00 pm, limited to 18 spots. Please email smmartinez@ut.edu to register
