Dr. Jamie L.H. Goodall is currently a historian at the US Army Center of Military History in Washington, DC. and holds a B.A. in Archaeology and M.A. in Public History-Museum Studies from Appalachian State University. Her PhD in History (Atlantic World, Military, Early America) is from Ohio State. She was previously a professor of history at Stevenson University in Baltimore for five years where she taught courses on a wide variety of historical subjects, including American and world history surveys, Intro to Public History, and Pirates of the Caribbean, among many others. In addition, she is an accomplished author of several books: Pirates of the Chesapeake Bay: From the Colonial Era to the Oyster Wars; Pirates & Privateers from Long Island Sound to Delaware Bay; and The Daring Exploits of Pirate Black Sam Bellamy: From Cape Cod to the Caribbean.
