What opened in 1933 as the Tampa Municipal Museum is today a vibrant community resource that welcomes more than 30,000 visitors annually from our city, region, state, across the country and around the world. Since 1974, we have been known as the Henry B. Plant Museum, and we are proud to preserve the legacy of the former Tampa Bay Hotel, Henry Plant, and important Tampa history.
To celebrate our 90th year, we are featuring a variety of programs, activities, and events that highlighting our unique history. From programs like Picnic in the Park and Free Saturdays to fascinating exhibits such as "Gasparilla: A Tampa Tradition" and "Imperfect Harmony: Man, Music, and Machine at the Tampa Bay Hotel", there are opportunities to get involved all year long!
As we commemorate this anniversary, we are also planning for the future. You can ensure our future is bright by helping achieve our goal to raise $90,000 for our 90 for 90 fundraising campaign to develop and expand community outreach and educational programming.
Your generosity can have double the impact right now. The Betsy and Steve Chambers Family Foundation will match the first $25,000 given to the Museum. This is an incredible opportunity and we hope you will join in today!
We would not be able to fulfill our mission without the generous support of so many individuals, businesses, foundations, and partners in our community. Thank you for your continued support of the Henry B. Plant Museum!
The Henry B. Plant Museum Board of Trustees and Museum Staff are pleased to recognize and thank those who have given $500 or more in celebration of the 90th Anniversary.
