Sometimes called a vargueno or multi-drawed chest.  Legend says that Mary Queen of Scots knelt beneath this cabinet before her execution.  However, experts have dated this cabinet late 19th century making the story inaccurate.  Cabinet has six drawers with scrimshaw designs featuring hunters and their animal prey.  Made of wood and etched ivory. Center compartment door has an image of the Virgin Mary and opens with to reveal four drawers. Finished with four claw feet holding balls.
