Are you looking for fun Tampa activities this spring? Join us for the 20th annual Picnic in the Park! On March 3rd, bring your friends and loved ones to enjoy a picnic and some well-deserved time on the banks of the beautiful Hillsborough River with The Henry B. Plant Museum.  

Pack a Picnic Basket and Enjoy the Sun

Old-fashioned picnics are one of the best things to do in Tampa. Bring your own picnic basket, chairs, and coolers to enjoy the refreshing springtime weather and make new memories like people did during simpler times.

Community partners who are joining this year’s Picnic in the Park include Tampa Regional Artists, The Humane Society of Tampa Bay, The Florida Aquarium, Arts4All Florida, The Wheelmen, and more.

Entertainment and Treats for Everyone

Tampa activities are not complete without something to snack on. If you get in the mood for crowd-favorites, complimentary ice cream will be provided courtesy of Blue Bell Creameries and complimentary popcorn courtesy of the Museum.

There will be live music from the Tampa Community Band, conducted by Jahn Van De Putte, and more entertainment from the band The Wandering Hours, Stilt Fun stilt walkers, a balloon twister, a juggler, and the Chihuahuas of Tampa Bay. 

If You Need to Cool Off, Visit the Museum!

If you are looking for things to do in Tampa that are both educational and entertaining, you can visit the Museum from 12 pm - 5 pm with only a $1 admission fee. Inside, you can enjoy our introductory video “The Tampa Bay Hotel: Florida's First Magic Kingdom," a complimentary audio tour, and exciting Upstairs/Downstairs Live Theater with Tampa Bay Hotel Hunting and Fishing Guide Arthur Schleman.
