Don't miss these great events

Location: Henry B. Plant Museum
401 W. Kennedy Blvd.
Tampa, FL 33606
Date: May 27, 2020 - May 27, 2020
Time: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Join Plant Museum Docent Beryl Byles for a conversation about a 19th century industrialist whose interest in opera was so meaningful that he incorporated it into his professional life.  Opera was more than a social season to Henry Plant.  Beryl will set the stage with details about the Victorian opera scene in which Henry and society participated, including opera etiquette. Learn about Plant’s love of opera, specifically French operas, and how it was evident in the Plant System

Beryl Byles is a retired teacher and leadership/executive coach who, like Plant, has actively intermingled her deep interest for opera and her professional life for 50 years.  She was a ‘supernumerary’ five times with the Dallas Opera, led executive coaching for the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, performed with The Master Chorale of Tampa Bay, and taught Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI-USF) courses on the history of music and opera.

This program will be streamed live on Facebook and through Zoom.
