Join us for the 3rd annual Children’s Day at the Victorian Christmas Stroll. This special day is filled with activities designed for the whole family.

The Victorian Christmas Stroll celebrates the warmth and spirit of an old fashioned holiday, while encouraging a sense of community. Children and families will delight in activities ranging from paper crafts to a puppet show.

Entertainment on Children's Day includes: the Tampa Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, Ovation!, Bits 'N Pieces Puppet Theatre presenting "The Gingerbread Man," Victorians Undressed live theater, Upstairs Downstairs live theater with Headwaiter Otis Freedman, and storytime in the Writing and Reading Room.  A wide variety of crafts and activities includes:  
 
  • 10 am – 2 pm Henry B. Plant Model Train Society in lobby 
  • 10:30 – 11 am Story time with Robin Gonzalez in the Writing & Reading Room
  • 11 am              W.T. Carroll Plant System Conductor, checking and validating distributed replica Plant System tickets
  • 11 – 11:30 am Story time with Robin Gonzalez in the Writing & Reading Room
  • 11 – 1 pm        The Paper Seahorse paper crafting and typing bar on the veranda 
  • 11 am – 3 pm  Carriage rides in the park – *not included in Stroll admission $7 per person
  • 11:45 – 12:15 pm Victorians Undressed in Music Room, Q&A with professional actors
  • 12:30 – 1 pm   Ovation! choral group in Music Room
  • 1 – 3 pm          Cigar box Zen gardens with Interplay Space on the veranda
  • 1:15 – 1:45 pm  Upstairs/Downstairs with Otis Freedman in Music Room
  • 1:30-2 pm        Girl Scouts of West Central Florida Sunny Palms singing on the veranda
  • 2 – 2:30 pm     Tampa Metropolitan Youth Orchestra quartet in Grand Hall, Q&A with musicians
  • 2 – 2:30 pm     Story time with Cheryl Farnell in the historic Writing & Reading Room
  • 2:30 - 3 pm      Story time with Holly Cliff in the historic Writing & Reading Room
  • 3 – 4 pm          “The Gingerbread Man” by Bits N’ Pieces Puppet Theatre in the Music Room followed by puppet making and Q&A with professional puppeteer
  • 4 - 5 pm           Story time with Norma Gregory in the historic Writing & Reading Room
