The Great Gatsby Party

Whisper the password to enter the secret world of a speakeasy. Enjoy live music, games of chance, fabulous food, an open bar and your photo taken with a vintage 1929 Bentley. This party may be the most dangerous evening of the year...1920's clothing encouraged, but not required. The Great Gatsby Party will be held in Fletcher Lounge, The University of Tampa on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm.

This will be a legendary party, just like Jay Gatsby’s parties in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel, The Great Gatsby. Instead of a Long Island home, this unique evening will take place in the fashionable Tampa Bay Hotel dining room. The roaring twenties will come to life as gangsters demand the password to enter through the custom designed doors to the merrymaking. Denise Moore and The Helios Swingtet will set the tone for dancing and entertainment. Black Jack and Roulette are offered for those who feel lucky. Recreated menus from the 1920’s Tampa Bay Hotel will indulge even the most gourmet palette.
